ILMEA Audition Information- October 3rd, 2015
Auditions are for 7th and 8th grade students.
AUDITIONS:
DATE: Saturday, October 3rd, 2015
TIME: Specific time will be given between the 8:00 AM-1:00 PM audition window.
LOCATION: Yorkville Middle School, Yorkville, Illinois
COST: There is talk that the district might pay the costs for this year's auditions/festival. An answer will be given when it is made available.
FESTIVAL(if accepted/based on audition):
DATE: Saturday, November 21st, 2015
TIME: 8:00 AM-2:30 PM Festival Rehearsal with Guest Conductor/ 3:00 PM Concert
LOCATION: Plano High School
Students should have picked up an audition from either Mrs. Way or Mr. Bishop. The audition music and scales require practice outside of the school. There will be ILMEA lessons for students that need extra help, but do not expect to learn all the music in the lessons.
Mock Auditions: There will be sample auditions that will mimic the real audition situation, which will be followed by feedback by Mrs. Way and/or Mr. Bishop. The goal is to fully prepare each student that chooses to participate.
